Personal, cost effective “Clean Green Machines” - Do your part, buy Green!
Press Release: EV-Village.org forms partnership with Keith Spadling and "Keith's Kars" of Reno, Nevada.
With gas and diesel fuel prices more than doubling at the pump this last year, American's are looking for ways to reduce their transportation costs while maintaining their life style needs. We have gotten spoiled by cheap fuel prices for decades only interupted in the 1970's by the oil embargo. We have purchased heavy SUV's and Trucks for our basic transportation at the cost of fuel efficiency. The Europeans have dealt with high fuel prices since the conclusion of World War II and use light weight, fuel efficient cars, moped and motorcycles. It is now time for us to do the same and apply today's technology to provide a solution to not only high fuel costs, highway gridlock and parking congestion but also air pollution, global warming from greenhouse gas emmisions and noise.
Electric vehicles and hybrids have emerged upon the transportation field that provide some of the solutions we are demanding. Lightweight electric vehicles and hybrids can achieve fuel efficiency not even dreamed of just a few years ago. Since most Americans do most of their driving solo and within 25 miles of their homes, local transportation needs may be met easily with vehicles designed for local use that achieve extremely high efficiency. I like to call these "our other household PET"; in this case, our "Personal Electric Transportation" PET. EV-Village.org specializes in All-Electric Vehicles aimed squarely at the local or neighborhood transportation solution. EV-Village.org based appropriately in Incline Village, NV is a small community on the north shore of Lake Tahoe with only about 4000 full time residents and a growing private school, Sierra Nevada College. There is limited parking and large tourist season influx during the winter ski and summer boating seasons. Scooters, e-bikes and 4 wheel "neighborhood electric vehicles" are an ideal solution to our needs.
Come and test drive the local vehicles of the future. Go Green! Go Electric!
